Don't Lose Focus: Even in the Summertime

Let's face it teaching your child or children
is no easy task--props you all who home school
your children all year round!
That doesn't mean that those of you who
send your children to school are bad parents though!
It's vitally important to help keep your child focused
in the summer time.
One recommendation that I have recently learned about (don't judge)
is SCHEDULES! I know some of you are like really a schedule in the summer time!
But seriously, do research...it will help your child in the long run AND it doesn't even
have to be a "timed" schedule for example:

Have you:
__made your bed
__gotten dressed
__ate breakfast
__brushed your teeth
__read for 20 mins
__practiced your instrument for 30 mins
__help mom/dad/grandma
__practiced spelling
__did your assigned chore
__played outside for 20 mins

if so THEN you may
play on your iPad/computer
go to a friend's house/mall/pool

See, it doesn't have to be something extreme because it is summer but
please don't just let your child lay around all summer long!

Until Next Time!

Part 3: Why I am Becoming a Teacher.

PART 3: Children are important.
Teaching is so very important to me.
I love being around children.
I love watching them grow and develop into "mini adults"
I want them to remember and to know that they are important,
that they can become anything that they want to become if they set their minds to it.
I want to become a teacher so that if children don't have a place
to feel safe, they will always be welcomed in my classroom and
I will always be there to listen to them, why? because they are important.

Reason 2: Why I'm Becoming a Teacher

Reason 2: I want to inspire children
Here is another reason as to why I am becoming a teacher.
I did this post a little bit differently than my first one simply
because when you teach you can not always teach the same way
because not all children learn the same way.

Three Reasons I'm Choosing to Become a Teacher: Part 1

PART ONE
------------------------------
Recently I have recently been asked
'Why I want to become a teacher?
After giving it some thought, I have come up
with my top three reasons.
I am going to be spreading them out on 3 blog posts.

Reason 1: I want to help better children's lives.
This is a really important reason for me because
I have always loved children even when I was a child myself.
I've always loved helping people and wanting what is best for them, especially children.
I've been in the shoes of children who don't have any self confidence in themselves.
I want to be the teacher who helps build confidence in her students, who children know that
their teacher loves them.

Teaching is very important to me and I can't wait to help better
children's lives.

Best,
Leslie
